Churchlessness in America
In doing research in my doctor of ministry program, I came across an epidemic happening across the land. It is called "churchlessness." Many people, in the millions are leaving church. Each person has their own unique reasons but they choose to leave nonetheless. Yet, what I also noticed is that before they leave, they lingered on the fringes for a while, some for years. Many because church going is the only thing they knew how to do and others because they keep hoping that something might change that will finally meet their need to be known.

Church Planter Training in Civic Advocacy and Social Justice
Due to the current political climate, race and justice have once again come to the forefront. With 1 in 3 American Evangelicals being a person of color what is happening in society is a glaring reminder that America and along with it, the American church have so much more to go in understanding race and how justice is understood and practiced from the lenses of black and brown people. Pastoring in America has changed and become more difficult. In a multi-racial society, a pastor is expected to know the issues people in the church face even if it is a different experience then their own. In addition, learning how to advocate for them against systemic injustices so as to offer more than thoughts and prayers is becoming more and more of a necessity in today’s world.

This research seeks to highlight Latinas past and present so that a new emerging generation can learn whose shoulders they stand on. It's a book to tell our own stories of our own people and to honor the women who many know very little about.
